To Stretch, Float or Traditional Frame?
Images printed on canvas with our special coating do not require the normal layer of glass to protect the image from fading. Instead, we use an environmentally friendly coating that locks in the ink and protects it from UltraViolet(UV) rays and moisture. A huge benefit to the giclee canvas without glass is that it eliminates reflections of lights, windows and electronics in rooms. A canvas print can be mounted flat and framed without glass, or stretched around a frame showing off the mirrored border creating an attractive piece that stands out into the room.
Float frames are a traditional wood frame that floats a short distance out from the edges of the stretched canvas giclee artwork. We offer two choices of float frame, Black and solid Koa wood. Float framing can be done at most all reputable frame shops.
While most of our clients love the clean, sharp look and feel of the 'Gallery Wrap', others look to match their existing art collections with traditional frames with or without glass.
Metal prints come in a floated frame with black edging, do not require stretching or further framing.
